Boundary Walk Stage 1

Turn left out of main Knole House gate, the Outer Wicket. Follow garden wall on your left-hand side. Go straight on at the corner of garden wall to follow the path downwards between bracken and trees.

Join the concrete path, keeping to the right at the Y junction. Take the left-hand fork into the woods marked with a black arrow that leads you downwards to a valley.

At the end of the valley turn left onto a concrete path. Cross over a wide concrete path and follow the trail through woodland, keeping the garden wall on your right. At the corner, follow the garden wall to the right to return to the front of the house.

Turn left out of main Knole House gate. Follow garden wall on your left-hand side. Turn left at the corner of the garden wall.

Follow the sandy path uphill past the end of the garden wall. Turn right when you reach the tarmac path.

Follow the tarmac path, Broad Walk, uphill. At the top, follow the path round to the left to join Chestnut Walk, another tarmac path.

In a dip, take a left hand turn onto another tarmac path heading back towards Knole House.

Cross over a wide tarmac path and follow it through the woodland. Rejoin the sandy path heading gently downhill keeping the garden wall on your right. At the corner, follow the garden wall to the right to return to the front of Knole House.

Turn left out of main Knole House gate. Follow garden wall on your left-hand side. Turn left at the corner of the garden wall.

Follow the sandy path uphill past the end of the garden wall. Follow the blue arrow on the post on your right-hand side. Follow this path until you reach a broad, concrete path called Broad Walk.
Woodland Ramble Stage 3

Cross over the concrete path and head downhill on a concrete path through woodland to the valley. Take the second right onto a grass path that goes through the trees.
Woodland Ramble Stage 4

Take the grass path on the right gently uphill between the trees. At the end of the path turn right, then left at the crossroads. Continue straight on until you reach the main concrete path, Chestnut Walk, and turn right.
Woodland Ramble Stage 5

At the top of the hill turn right, coming off the concrete path and into the woodland. Walk downhill following the path through the trees.

When you come out of the woodland, bear left. Rejoin the sandy path downhill, keeping the garden wall on your right. Turn right at the corner to return to the front of Knole House.
