• Colin
  Canham Road
Of the three figures here, Colin represents both the unsung heroes in the public sector and ordinary people of Acton who made a difference against the odds. Colin was co-developed with the artist and a group of young people from Bollo Brook Youth Centre.
• Sir Joseph Bazalgette
  Canham Road
The Sir Joseph Bazalgette figure marks the western extent of the sewerage system that he designed in the 1860s, and the start of the super sewer tunnel that runs east from this location.
• Sybil
  Canham Road
The figure of Sybil honours the 19th century entrepreneurial women of South Acton who set up laundry businesses in the area which became known as “Soapsud Island”.
