Tulip Patch
Artificial rock grottos were a feature of late 19th-century gardens. Here, they were created by James Pulham & Son, who made realistic looking blocks out of lime mortar poured over brick and rubble: cheaper than hewn stone. Herbaceous plants now grow here

The Stables
The stables are 17th century French style & were designed by the same architect who designed the Manor. It now houses a café, shop & Coach House gallery. There is a bronze horse by Edgar Boehm, believed to be the Duke of Wellington"s charger. Copenhagen
Venus and Adonis

Dated 1741, these are the last known garden sculptures by Jan van Logteren & rare survivals of 18th-century Dutch sculpture. The army was stationed there during WWII & these sandstone figures show signs of how they were used as target practice.
